The Asociación Cultural Comparsa Sur Caliente originated in Puerto del Carmen, in the town of Tías, in 1999. This veteran Comparsa has participated continuously in the Lanzarote contest since its first Carnival in 2000.

In 2016 it performed for the first time at the Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and in 2017 it won Third Prize for Performance. After a few years without visiting the capital of Gran Canaria, they returned in 2025 and managed to occupy a place on the podium.
