The members of Kisamba, the junior Comparsa which won the First Prize for Performance in the junior contest in 2015, grew up and took part in the adult contest for the first time in 2016. At its debut in the grown-ups’ league in 2017, the Comparsa took the First Prize for Performance, which they were awarded every following year from 2018 to 2020.
The comparsa’s costume designs have been recognised with a first prize in the category in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022.
