The 2022 Carnival incorporated an entry in its programme which gathers groups of a new denomination, the Chirimurgas, which, in a smaller format, bring their ironic songs and Carnavalesque spirit to the general public. The Chirimurga del Timple group has been pioneer in these new group compositions in the Gran Canaria capital’s celebrations: their programme enjoyed a highly positive response from the audience at their première.
