Carnival Prizewinner and Group Parade

The Prizewinner and Group Parade will set out ahead of the Great Parade, separate from the Carnival court floats, so that families can have the chance to see the Carnival Queen, the Grand Dame, and the Junior Carnival Queen close up, during a day designed for them.

Riding on mobile platforms, decked out in the costumes that took them to the throne, The Carnival Queen, Daniela Medina Ortega, the 2022 Drag Queen, Vulcano, the alter ego of Isidro Javier Pérez Mateo, Inés Gómez Quevedo, Grand Dame, and young Dalia Martín Almeida, Junior Carnival Queen, will travel the distance between La Luz Castle and Mesa y López, passing through Albareda Street, Santa Catalina Park and Presidente Alvear Street.

The monarchs will be accompanied by the Dames of Honour and the Drag Queen finalists, as well as the Carnival characters, the ten Murgas which competed in March; Los Gambusinos, the winning Murga, Los Melindrosos, Los Chancletas, Los Payasos Alborotados, Despistadas, Kikirinietas, Lengüetudos, Las Tramposas and Las Lady's Chancletas, along with the members of the Los Nietos de Kika Afilarmónica.

Cheering them along as well, and filling the streets with rhythm will be the Comparsa Baracoa, First Prize for Performance, Kisamba, First Prize for Costume, Yoruba, Chiramay, Lianceiros and Cubatao, together with percussion from the Samba Isleña, Piratas del Caribe, Retumbamanía and Caribe Creando Escuela Batucadas. A parade which will be flanked at the start and finish by the float for integration and the advertising float.
