Junior Costume Festival

The Junior Costume Festival is the date for the Carnival’s young bloods, one of the Carnival groups most likely to get dancing. Dance schools sign up in order to show off choreographies and costumes that are really stunning considering the ages of their participants: boys and girls aged 3 to 15.

For the thousand plus habitual participants, it’s just one long party, from when they meet up in costume with those accompanying them to go out on stage, through to the excitement of hearing the name of their group.

The festival doesn’t discriminate between the best costumes or the most brilliant designs, it just throws the doors open to the enthusiasm of those taking part, boys and girls for whom the experience of the occasion is the highest award.
