Carnival Tuesday | Children’s Parade

The Children’s Carnival has numerous events in a programme which brings them the selection of their regent, a parade, and fancy-dress competitions, as well as the participation of the junior Comparsas and Murgas in encounters and other entries on the Carnival calendar. The schedule for these groups also takes them to perform in different corners of the city, as is the case with the older competitors too. Among other events, they take part in the Children’s Parade. This massive gathering on Carnival Tuesday, where the little ones take to the streets this year in fancy dress, demonstrates how much a part of the Carnival they feel themselves to be.

Since the 2016 edition, the “Daytime Carnival” has had a notable date on the calendar, “Carnival Tuesday” with an open-air party. To this date, given the amazing popularity and citizen demand, other dates have been added to each programme.

Thousands of Mascaritas (masked revellers) head to various stages for the concerts on the programme, with music to suit all tastes. The festivities have something to offer all types of members of the general public, preferences and timetables, as well as reaching an ever larger number of citizens and visitors. These are days when you can enjoy the most popular and spontaneous spirit of Carnival in a safe setting.
