They had stopped taking part in the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Carnival until their return in 2011.


Los Guanches Picapiedra

Los Guanches Picapiedra are part of the Carnival's history. As a Murga, they set their own style and had great success with some of their songs, which people still hum today. They first performed at the Carnival in 1978. Their members remember that at that time the lyrics had to pass the censorship of the government.

In 1983 the Carnival Board awarded them the title of Afilarmónica after they had won the First Prize in 1978, 1979, 1981 and 1982.


Los Gambusinos

The murga Los Gambusinos made their debut in 2022 at the Carnival of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in style. Dressed as Eskimos, Los Gambusinos won First Prize in the Murga Contest.

Las Walkirias - las que faltaban

Their last Carnival was in 2006.


Las Twitty's Woman

They stopped taking part in the Carnival in 2005 and returned in 2011.


Las Traviesas

The girls from the Cruz de Piedra area were awarded the Third Prize for Performance in 2016. In 2017 they reached the contest's final again.
